VILLAGE 2008 ELECTION DATES
Last day for village clerk to publish notice
designating office or offices to be filled and the terms thereof.
First day for village clerk to accept applications for
absentee ballots.
First
date that an individual may sign an independent nominating petition.

for board of trustees to adopt a resolution stating the polling place in each
district and the hours the polls will be open which shall include at least the
hours from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m.
First day to file independent nominating petition.

an office to be filled at the general village election.

application for absentee ballot, from applicant or applicant's agent. Upon application, the village clerk shall deliver
such absentee ballot for a qualified applicant to the applicant or agent named
in such application.
DATE OF GENERAL VILLAGE ELECTION.
Village
clerk must deliver absentee ballots to the board of inspectors.
Date for
inspectors to file certificate of canvass of votes with the village clerk.
Last day for village clerk to notify the persons that they have been elected and must take an oath of office within 30 days after they take office.
